Dhanapriya Kakchingtabam

Dhanapriya

Dhanapriya Kakchingtabam obtained her first degree in Pharmacy from Nandha college of Pharmacy  affiliated to the Tamil Nadu Dr MGR Medical University  (Chennai, India) in 2005. She further pursued a Master in Pharmacology at Nottingham Trent University  in 2009 where she worked on “Super-paramagnetic Iron Oxide (SPIO): Its synthesis, characterisation, surface modification and its application in the Biomedical Sciences ”.  

She joined the School of Physics and Astronomy  at the University of St Andrews  in April 2010 to pursue her PhD under Dr Pascal André’s supervision and is working in collaboration with the School of Chemistry  at the University of St Andrews  and the Dundee - IMSaT branch located at the University of Dundee . The interdisciplinary project which Dhanapriya currently working dwells on the study of magnetic nanoparticles syntheses and their surface modifications for bio-medical applications.
